Abstract linear studies creating a flurry of movement and flow.
Paintings reflecting the chaos of our everyday lives.
Prints exploring symmetry and appreciation of flora and fauna.
mixed media artist
The mediums I choose to explore are always evolving.
I find the most inspiration by changing up my creative process. I range
from abstract linework, to expressive room studies. In painting, I work
with acrylic and experiment with mixed media collage. Anything I can
draw inspiration from I will. My background in book arts has also given
me an affinity toward varied printing methods.
The unifying aspect to my work is symbiosis. Whether the cohesion of
lines flowing against one another, symmetry of a print, or the synergy
of a messy room depicted on canvas. It’s all energy working as one.

My journey
Finding inspiration from symbiosis and collision within biologic systems,
as well as the simplicity of everyday life.
Growing up in upstate NY, I’ve always drawn comfort and inspiration from nature. From a macro to a micro scale, we exist within a storm of biologic interactions.
At Wells College I earned my Bachelor of Arts. Majoring in Biology and minoring in Book Arts, to me art and science goes hand in hand. Inspired by the biologic world and the beauty of natural cycles that persist around us, I found my art heavily influenced by the natural world.
I received my Master of Science in Environmental Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. As a graduate student I researched biodegradable polymers, with an emphasis on microbiology.
Post-graduation, I continued exploring my linework studies and began incorporating watercolor in a short series. The inspiration of many linework pieces comes from the idea of microbiology and the relationships between microscopic entities. Without which we would not exist.
